Based on recommendations from major carpet manufacturers including Shaw, Mohawk and Karastan coupled with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI), we employ hot water extraction in all of our cleaning services.

While "hot water extraction" (also known as “steam cleaning”) is recognized as the safest and most efficient way to clean carpets by all major carpet manufacturers, we've taken these recommendations to the next level.  

Most carpet cleaning companies use a “manual wand” (see picture below) to surface clean carpets.  Manual wands are only capable of cleaning in two directions (forward and reverse) and this is why they are not recommended for deep restorative cleaning.

At Tru-Clean Carpet & Tile Care we utilize the rotary power extraction (see demo below) of the Rotovac for the best cleaning results possible.  The Rotovac cleans carpet fibers in all directions (not just forward and reverse) at 750 cleaning injection/extraction passes per minute.  A manual wand doesn’t come close.
