In all cases where practical, our technicians use the Rotovac 360 for the
ultimate in power extraction carpet steam cleaning. Unlike traditional carpet
cleaning companies who rely solely on a steel mechanical wand, we utilize the
Rotary Jet ExtractionTM of the Rotovac 360 which thoroughly cleans the carpet
fiber from all directions to produce superior carpet cleaning results… every
time!
In addition to the Rotovac 360 we incorporate the Rotovac Spray Crevice Tool
for optimum cleaning results around carpet edges and baseboards.
Many carpet cleaners neglect to use crevice tools in an attempt to save time and
increase profits. At Tru-Clean Carpet & Tile Care we take the extra time to do
the job right the first time.
Light furniture, coffee and end tables will be moved free of charge.
Large pieces of furniture such as china cabinets, entertainment centers,
pianos, etc. or electronic equipment of any kind must be moved by the
customer prior to cleaning or our technicians can work around them.
Due to the high quality of equipment and chemicals we use, coupled with
the power of our truck mounted equipment, over 95% of all stains are removed
during the cleaning process. Difficult stains that can not be removed
without specialty chemical mixtures and man hours will be pointed out to the
customer in advance and will require an additional charge.

Carpet Cleaning Process
The industry standard for carpet cleaning set by the IICRC involves
low-moisture hot water extraction for deep cleaning every 12 to 18 months.
According to the IICRC and the Bridgepoint Cleaning Network, an industry leader
in carpet and tile science, "No hot water extraction process is complete without
a preconditioning step".
Tru-Clean Carpet & Tile Care's skillful and knowledgeable technicians
always perform the pre-conditioning step in accordance with the industry
standard set by the IICRC for proper carpet cleaning methods. To ensure you
are receiving the highest quality carpet cleaning services watch to make
sure your technician is performing the following steps.
Professional carpet cleaners will be happy to discuss carpet cleaning methods
with you and explain each step in their process.
- Preconditioning Step: During preconditioning a chemical designed
to emulsify, saponify, and suspend the oxidized oils and soils is applied to
the carpet. Mechanical agitation must be applied either by a grooming rake
or carpet brush. Note: The chemist definition defines saponify as to
hydrolyze lipids into an acid and alcohol as a result of being treated with
an alkali. ie. use chemistry to convert grease and oils into soap. Carpet
cleaners who use cheap or inferior pre-conditioners on customers carpets are
unable to thoroughly break down spots, oils and ground in grime.
- Extraction: The oils and soils oxidized, emulsified, saponified,
and suspended by the preconditioning step can now be extracted with the
equipment. The use of a detergent during this step of the carpet cleaning
process ensures the removal of the oils, soils, and preconditioning
chemicals. Some carpet cleaners fail to use detergent in the extraction
process and settle for straight water as a cost saving measure. At Tru-Clean
Carpet & Tile Care we NEVER sacrifice quality in an attempt to bolster
profits and we utilize Bridgepoint pre-spray's and detergent on each and
every carpet we clean.
- Fabric Softening Neutralizing Step: This is the step in the
carpet cleaning process where the neutralizer is applied to the carpet.
Agitation is again required either by a grooming rake or a carpet brush to
ensure even distribution of the neutralizer which leaves the carpet pH
balanced, soft to the touch, and ensures color fastness.
- Re-application of Stain Protection: Even though the pile fibers
of today's carpet have been designed to be stain resistant much of that
stain resisting ability is removed by the deep cleaning of hot water
extraction. Stain protection must be reapplied after every carpet cleaning
in order to ensure the carpets stain resistant ability and maintain
manufacturers' warranties.
